Brock and Shelia met while both were employed at Oklahoma State University, and they both have graduate degrees: Brock with a BS in animal science and a Master of Ag in range and ranch management and Shelia with a BS in animal science and an MS in animal science with an emphasis in reproductive physiology. They were married in 1993 and started leasing land and running cattle on the side of their full time OSU jobs. In 1997, they left the college and purchased 960 acres in Wanette, OK. Today they background approximately 20,000 head of stockers on 4,000 acres. They have two children, Jessica and Karena.
